This post provides a clear guide on how to create a public post on Market Day.
Market Day is a unique feature on Afri54 that gives local markets across Africa a dedicated spotlight to showcase their products, culture, and creativity to a wider audience—both locally and globally.
It operates as a rotating promotional event where selected markets are granted exclusive visibility on the Afri54 platform for 24 hours. During this period, the focus is on promoting vendors, sharing their stories, and connecting them with potential buyers and partners across the continent. Read more here
To create a post:
Click on “Market,” where you will find three sub-options:
Public Feed
This section displays the Market Day news feed, allowing you to view all posts and offers shared during the event.
Create Post
This option allows you to publish a public post on the news feed. Your post can include tags such as your Afri54 Digital Business Card, Afri Store, discounts, freebies, and more.
My Post
This section shows all the posts you have created for the current Market Day event.
Please note that each user can create a maximum of seven posts per event.
Now, let’s proceed to the practical steps:
- Click on “Create Post” and select your Market Category.
- Enter a brief description of what you offer (maximum of 200 characters).
- Provide your business address so customers can easily locate you.
- Enter the price for the product in the photo (optional).
- Upload a product image (optional). If you offer services, you may upload your company logo or leave this field empty.
- Select the condition of the item (applicable only if you are selling products), such as New or Used.
- Choose the appropriate tags:
*Select Promo if you are offering promotional discounts.
*Select Discount if there is a special price reduction.
*Select Freebie if you are giving out free items.
*Select Afri Store if you have created your Afri Store.
*Add any other relevant tags as applicable.
*Click the “Post” button to publish.
Once completed, you can view your post in the designated section.
